SUBSCRIPTION AND CANCELLATION POLICY

ABOUT THIS POLICY

This policy explains the free access, trial, paid subscription, automatic renewal, cancellation and refund arrangements for Your Growing Companion.

Your Growing Companion is operated by Tanya 779 Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 10040024.

FREE ACCESS

Your Growing Companion provides free access to selected features, including:

The sowing calendar.

Cold-weather alerts.

The features included in free access may be updated occasionally. We will not remove access to a paid feature during an active paid subscription without a valid reason.

14-DAY FREE TRIAL

New users receive a 14-day free trial that provides access to the app’s additional features.

No subscription payment is required solely to continue using the free features after the trial ends.

At the end of the trial, access to paid features will stop unless the user purchases a yearly subscription. The sowing calendar and cold-weather alerts will remain available through the free version, subject to the app’s availability and applicable terms.

We may limit free trials to one per person or account and may refuse or withdraw a trial where we reasonably believe it is being misused.

PAID YEARLY SUBSCRIPTION

A paid yearly subscription provides access to the additional features identified in the app at the time of purchase.

Subscription prices vary according to the user’s location and supported currency. The applicable price and currency will be clearly displayed before payment is confirmed.

By purchasing a subscription, you authorise us and our payment provider to collect the displayed yearly subscription charge using your chosen payment method.

AUTOMATIC RENEWAL

Paid subscriptions renew automatically each year unless cancelled before the renewal date.

The renewal payment will normally be charged to the payment method associated with the account. The subscription will renew at the price shown or notified before renewal, subject to any changes permitted under this policy and applicable law.

Where required, we will provide advance notice of an upcoming renewal or price change.

You are responsible for keeping your payment and contact information up to date.

CANCELLING DURING THE FREE TRIAL

You may stop using the trial at any time.

If no paid yearly subscription has been purchased, the trial will simply end after 14 days and the account will revert to the free version. You will retain access to the free features.

CANCELLING A PAID SUBSCRIPTION

You may cancel automatic renewal at any time through the subscription or account settings provided in the app.

If you cannot access the cancellation controls, email simon@diaryofanorganicgrower.com using the email address associated with your account.

Unless a refund applies, cancelling stops the next automatic renewal. You will normally retain access to the paid features until the end of the subscription period already paid for.

You will not be charged again after cancellation unless you purchase a new subscription or reactivate automatic renewal.

REFUNDS WITHIN 14 DAYS

You may request a refund within 14 days of:

Your first yearly subscription payment; or

An automatic yearly renewal payment.

To request a refund, email simon@diaryofanorganicgrower.com and include the email address associated with your account and sufficient information to identify the payment.

If a full refund is issued, access to paid features may end when the refund or cancellation is processed. The account may then revert to the free version.

Refunds will be returned to the original payment method where possible. The time taken for the funds to appear will depend on the payment provider and financial institution.

REFUNDS AFTER 14 DAYS

After the 14-day refund period, subscription payments are generally non-refundable, including where a user has not used all or part of the service.

We may consider a refund or account credit where:

A duplicate or incorrect payment has been taken.

A technical problem attributable to us has prevented meaningful use of the paid service.

A refund is required by applicable consumer law.

Other exceptional circumstances justify it.

Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights where the service is faulty, not as described or not supplied with reasonable care and skill.

FAILED PAYMENTS

If a subscription payment fails, we or our payment provider may attempt to collect it again.

Access to paid features may be suspended or returned to the free version until payment is successfully completed.

We are not responsible for charges imposed by your bank, card issuer or other payment provider.

CHANGES TO PRICES OR SUBSCRIPTIONS

We may change subscription prices or the features included in future subscription periods.

Any price change will not affect a subscription period that has already been paid for. Where required, we will notify you before the changed price applies to an automatic renewal.

If you do not wish to continue at the new price, you may cancel before the renewal date.

SERVICE AVAILABILITY

We aim to keep Your Growing Companion available and functioning reliably, but uninterrupted or error-free access cannot be guaranteed.

We may occasionally suspend access for maintenance, security, technical reasons or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

STATUTORY RIGHTS

This policy does not exclude or limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.

Consumers may have additional cancellation or refund rights depending on where they live.
